ChartWars has 60+ achievements spread across 5 categories. They're more than just badges — they're a structured progression system that teaches you how the platform works. Here's the complete guide.

Trading achievements

The biggest category, focused on trade volume and variety:

• First Trade — your very first buy or sell. One click to unlock.
• Trades 10 / 25 / 50 / 100 / 500 / 1000 — cumulative trade count milestones across both songs and artists.
• Diversified 5 / 10 / 25 — hold positions in 5, 10, or 25 different songs simultaneously.
• First Short / Short 10 / Short 50 — opening short positions.
• Both Sides — hold a long AND a short on the same song at the same time.
• Artist Trader — make your first artist index trade.

Wealth achievements

Tied to your total portfolio value:

• Net 5k → Net 1m — total value milestones from C$5,000 (just below starting balance, requires losses!) up to C$1,000,000.
• Profit 1k / 10k / 50k / 100k — cumulative realized profit on closed positions.
• Fee Collector — pay C$1,000 in trading fees (high-volume traders unlock this fast).

Journey achievements

Time and persistence rewards:

• Veteran 7d / 30d / 90d / 365d — account age milestones.
• Login 3 / 7 / 30 / 100 — consecutive daily login streaks.
• Diamond Hands — hold a single position for 7+ days without selling.
• Diamond 30 — hold a single position for 30+ days.
• IPO Buyer / IPO 5 / IPO First Hour — IPO participation.

Music achievements

The genre and chart-knowledge category:

• Chart Topper — buy a song that's currently #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
• Full Chart — own positions in 10+ Billboard-charted songs at the same time.
• Genre Trader — own songs in 3+ different genres.
• Genre All — own at least one song in every genre. The hardest "music" achievement.
• Multi Artist — hold positions in songs by 5+ different artists.

Special achievements

The unusual category:

• Bankrupt — declare bankruptcy once. Yes, losing everything is an achievement.
• Bankrupt Twice — do it again. Some traders are prouder of this one than Net 1m.
• Comeback — recover from below C$1,000 back to C$10,000+.
• Top 10 — appear on the leaderboard top 10 by total value.
• Top 1 — be #1. The hardest achievement on ChartWars.

Efficient unlock path

If you want to unlock as many achievements as fast as possible:

1. Make 1 trade for First Trade.
2. Make 10 trades across different songs for Trades 10 + Diversified 5 + Genre Trader.
3. Open 1 short for First Short and Both Sides if you keep the long.
4. Buy 1 IPO for IPO Buyer.
5. Buy 1 artist for Artist Trader.
